Investigative Division - Community Crime Prevention Task Force

The Community Crime Prevention Task Force is comprised of representatives from government agencies, nonprofit organizations, religious entities, and private citizens.  The Crime Prevention Task Force meets on a regular basis, reviews crime statistics and trends, and provides recommendations for crime prevention strategies in Simi Valley.  The goal of the Task Force is to engage community members and organizations in a collaborative effort in crime prevention, thereby ensuring a safer City.

The Police Department is focused on deterrent strategies and educational efforts as a major component of its overall crime prevention strategy.  Crime Prevention Specialists from the Department manage a variety of Crime Prevention programs and are available to make public presentations for organizations, businesses, and community groups throughout the City on a wide range of topics.
